This server documents the vocabulary and controlled lists of terms used by the Aerosol, Clouds and Trace Gases Research Infrastructure (ACTRIS).

As grammar for observed variables, the ACTRIS vocabulary takes into use the InteroperAble Descriptions of Observable Property Terminology (I-ADOPT) concept for atomizing the variable names into parts of themselves controlled lists of terms. The vocabulary tries to refer to link to external vocabularies whereever possible.
