DEFINITION

  • A variable year is defined as one year's worth of data for one variable. The time resolution of the data product is defined by the ACTRIS data management plan (DMP). The instrument has to be operational for at least 75% of the nominal operation time as defined in the DMP. Rate is the number of events per time. Data curation is the organization and integration of data collected from various sources. It involves annotation, publication and presentation of the data so that the value of the data is maintained over time, and the data remains available for reuse and preservation.
