- Gaseous oxidized mercury (GOM) consist of gas phase Hg(I) and Hg(II) in combination with elements such as halogens, oxygen, nitrogen and sulphur. Its exact chemical composition is currently unknown and rather operationally defined by its collection/detection methods.
