DEFINITION
- Mass flux is defined as the amount of mass transported per unit time across a unit area that is perpendicular to the direction of mass transport. Deposition is the sum of dry deposition (uptake at the earth's surface) and wet deposition (absorption into droplets followed by droplet precipitation, e.g., rain, snow, sleet) or impaction on the earth's surface (e.g., fog droplets). The chmical formula for octachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin is C12Cl8O2. It belongs to the group of halogonated organics known as dioxins. The IUPAC name is 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9-octachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin
