chemical ionization-atmospheric pressure interface-time of flight mass spectrometer
DEFINITION
- Instrument designed for measuring the concentration of condensable vapours by determining the mass-to-charge value and signal intensity of chemically ionized vapours. The selectivity of the method can be varied by altering the reagent gas used. The target vapours are ionized by reagent gas and then guided through atmospheric pressure interface to the time-of-flight mass spectrometer.
