aerosol particle light backscatter linear depolarization ratio
DEFINITION
- The aerosol particle backscatter linear depolarization ratio (often called particle linear depolarization ratio) is defined as the ratio of the perpendicular polarization component to the parallel component of aerosol particle scattering. It is obtained combining the volume linear depolarization ratio with the molecular and aerosol backscatter referred to the same investigated atmospheric volume.
