aerosol particle backscatter coefficient
DEFINITION
- The aerosol particle backscatter coefficient is the fraction of radiative flux, per unit path length and per unit solid angle, scattered at 180 degrees angle respect to the incident radiation and obtained through ranging techniques like lidar and radar. Backscattering coefficient is related to the same wavelength of incident radiation, unless otherwise specified.
