DEFINITION
- The Ångström exponent obtained for the object's extinction. Variable alpha in relating the extinction at wavelength lambda to the extinction at a different wavelength lambda0: ext(lambda) = ext(lambda0) * [lambda/lambda0] ** (-1 * alpha).
